The latest generation of the Nissan Pathfinder has arrived looking more imposing and truck-like. This newest three-row vehicle gets Nissan’s new family face, reminiscent of the new Rogue complete with tiered headlights. Only this time, it’s applied to a bigger, boxier vehicle.
Under the skin, the 2022 Pathfinder carries over most of the key mechanical bits. Even the 3.5-liter V6 is unchanged. However, the CVT is no more! In its place is a ZF-sourced nine-speed automatic transmission.
Nissan’s latest safety technologies are also available on the 2022 Pathfinder with most being standard equipment. Some versions also get an upgraded version of ProPilot Assist, which uses navigation info to anticipate turns on the road. Platinum trim models also get a larger 10.8-inch touch screen.
