2023 Acura Integra First Drive

2023 Acura Integra first drive: The assignment was clear, bring the Integra name back to Acura’s lineup by sticking as closely to the original formula as possible. From day one, the replacement for the aging ILX compact sedan was to be called Integra, but new ideas and eventual executions popped up along the way. This time around, it has a new party trick up its sleeve. The 2023 Acura Integra is actually a hatchback with more rear cargo room than a Lexus UX. It’s also a really good little car for those who like the bones of a Honda Civic Si but appreciate nicer interior materials and features (save for the lack of real leather). Oh, and a manual transmission is back!

The Integra currently only utilizes the Civic Si’s 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder, so there’s 200 horsepower and 192 lb.-ft. of torque. Here, though, it can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a CVT. Unfortunately but not surprisingly, the manual is only available on the top A-Spec w/ Technology package trim level. Once you’ve forked over just under $36k for that model, the manual is a no-cost option. The CVT is one of the best in the business, with seven simulated step shifts. However, if you can row your own gears, the manual is the one to get.
