The 2023 Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, or ‘EWB’, has been revealed. It will effectively take over the roll of the lineup’s flagship from the late Mulsanne sedan. The EWB is agood 7.1 inches longer than the standard Bentayga. At launch, Bentley will only offer it with the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 producing 542 horsepower and 568 lb.-ft. of torque, no W12. That shouldn’t be too much of an issue, as it will get to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 180 mph. The EWB adds rear wheel steering to the mix, improving the Bentayga’s turning radius by seven percent. The wheels and grille treatment are unique to his model.
Inside is where the 2023 Bentley Bentayga EWB really earns its flagship status. A 125-inch wheelbase allows for the implementation of a state-of-the-art rear ‘Airline Seat’. with 22 ways of adjustment. It has a Relax mode with a 40-degree recline, a Business mode for doing work on the go, and power-deployed foot rests. The climate control knows your body temperature and can adjust the system accordingly. Pressure sensors in the seats actively adjust your posture to reduce fatigue and increase long-term comfort. This includes 177 pressure changes throughout six independent pressure areas.
