2023 Chevrolet Colorado Debuts

2023 Chevrolet Colorado Debuts: Riding on a new platform and ladder frame, the next-generation of Chevy’s midsize truck has a longer wheelbase and will come in one cab configuration in an effort to simplify the production process and cater more closely to customers’ interest. Colorado also now only comes with one engine choice, the 2.7L turbocharged 4-cylinder first introduced on the 2019 Silverado. Here it will have three power outputs depending on trim level: 237 horsepower and 259 lb.-ft. of torque, 310 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque, or 310 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque. The Colorado still remains the most powerful option in its class.

“The all-new Colorado is enhanced in every way,” said Scott Bell, global vice president of Chevrolet. “With its rugged and sporty styling, enhanced capability, new technology and customization options, it’s designed to do more for discerning customers and still offer them great value.” It certainly looks tougher and more squared-off this time, which is not a bad thing. Where the current generation shows its foundations as a Thailand-based Chevy truck, the 2023 model is clearly made for America. Trim levels include Work Truck, LT, Z71, Trail Boss, ZR2. The interior receives a massive upgrade in all guises, with a horizontal and modern design and wireless smartphone integration. The standard 11.3-inch-diagonal color infotainment touchscreen is class-leading in size.
