2023 Toyota Crown Leaked: Today, patent drawings of the upcoming new adaptation on the Toyota Crown have surfaced revealing the exterior in its entirety. This is the version that is coming to North America, not the Japanese sedan they’ve been selling since the 1950s. The photos are only in black and white, but they provide every angle on this upcoming Avalon replacement. According to leaked New York region dealer documents from earlier this year, the Crown will go on sale here in October. More recent leaks have suggested that the car will be revealed sometime in mid-July. Alex and I, luckily enough, have actually already seen the car in person for ourselves…
Though we don’t know really know any official information about the car, rumors are suggesting that the Crown will be AWD-only on the TNGA-K platform and hybrid-only. It is going to be a high-riding sedan for sure, think of the late Volvo S60 Cross Country or Subaru Legacy Outback. Whether it is a liftback or not remains to be seen, but we sure hope it is. For Toyota to bring out another sedan to replace a slow-selling sedan doesn’t make much sense. Lastly, new gossip suggests that the Crown will be offered with the 2.4L turbo 4-cylinder hybrid system with a 6-speed automatic first seen in the new 2023 Lexus RX 500h F-Sport Performance. All shall be revealed in the coming months!
