2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD Revealed: For 2024, the heavy duty Chevy trucks receive a mild refresh that brings about updated internals and a vastly improved interior reminiscent of the recently-refreshed 1500 model’s. Starting with that interior, the 2500 and 3500 both finally enter the modern era with full-LCD instrument clusters, an Android Automotive infotainment system, and new fancy interior trimmings on High Country models. For example, that High Country models can be has with a new Nightshift Blue color and real wood trim. Super Cruise is, rather unfortunately, not available on any model at launch. Perhaps it will be added later.
In terms of powertrains, the previous two offerings remain available. The standard 6.6L gasoline-fed V8 is unchanged, but it is now paired with the diesel’s Allison 10-speed automatic transmission instead of the old six-speed automatic. It will still make 401 horsepower and 464 lb.-ft. of torque. The Duramax diesel 6.6L V8 continues with the same Allison 10-speed, but it now produces 470 horsepower (up from 445) and 975 lb.-ft. of torque (up from 910).
The 2024 model will go on sale in the first half of next year, with pricing to be announced in the coming months. More on the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD here.
