2024 GMC Acadia Spied Inside and Out: The current GMC Acadia is a size smaller than the first generation. GM wanted to differentiate it from its platform mate, the Chevy Traverse, for the second go-around. Sales took a hit, however, as shoppers found it just didn’t have enough space to compete with other offerings like the Explorer, Pilot and Telluride, among others. That appears to be the main fix for generation three. Spy shots have been popping up over the last year of the 2024 model, and you can clearly see it will be a larger car than the one it replaces. This looks closer in size to that Traverse which is one of the largest models in the segment, though this is still not quite that large. The camouflage makes it somewhat difficult to pin down the shape, but it is likely going to be boxy.
This new crop of images also provides us our first look at the Acadia’s interior. The steering wheel is much more modern and reveals the existence of Super Cruise. This is great news, as that feature will likely give the Acadia a leg up over its competitors for many shoppers out there, and is expected to also be offered on the next Traverse. There is also a new digital instrument cluster behind that steering wheel, something that will also go a long way to modernize the Acadia’s interior. At best it is middling in its current iteration, something the new 2024 Canyon pickup has certainly remedied. Look to that model’s interior for clues on what to expect for the dashboard design of the 2024 Acadia.
We don’t know exactly when the next Acadia will debut, but expect news on that front within the next six months or so. More on the 2024 GMC Acadia here.
