2024 Honda Prologue Spied for the First Time

2024 Honda Prologue Spied: For the first time, Honda’s first all-electric vehicle has been spied testing. The 2024 Prologue has been previously teased by Honda with the sketch seen below, and we already know it will ride on GM’s Ultium battery technology. Autoblog photographers caught this prototype testing with only skin-tight camouflage, giving us a better look at its profile. It appears to be close in size to the recently-unveiled Chevrolet Blazer EV. This car will ride on the same BEV3 platform and will utilize the same batteries. Whether or not Honda offers the Prologue with front-, rear- and all-wheel drive like the Blazer remains to be seen. The Prologue has been designed by the Honda Design Studio in Los Angeles in collaboration with one of their Japanese design teams.

The introduction of the Prologue is part of Honda’s plan sell nearly 500,000 EVs in North America by 2030. We don’t have any solid technical details on its powertrain yet, but it will be built on GM’s second-generation Ultium platform. Considering what we know about Ultium, expect decent DC fast charging times, an energy recovery system, and around 300 miles of range. After the Prologue goes on sale in 2024, Honda will unleash a new lineup of EVs on their own “e:Architecture” in 2026. Then in 2027, production and sales of a new series of affordable EVs will commence. These will be based on a new vehicle architecture co-developed with GM.
