Mazda wants you to think that its new turbocharged 3 compact car is an alternative to the established luxury marques. However, we don’t think anyone shopping for a Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, or BMW would look at this. A person looking at an Acura ILX, on the other hand, may just get tempted especially when you consider just how far up this turbocharged AWD compact car punches above its weight.
