Mercedes-Benz Reveals 2024 E-Class Interior

Mercedes-Benz has stripped the covers from the interior of the new 2024 E-Class It runs the next generation of Mercedes’ MBUX system. They are calling this one ‘MBUX Entertainment Plus’. The system will show up first in the 2024 E-Class coming later in 2023, from there it will likely spread across the lineup. Aside from the different format screens, this software now has the ability to accept user-downloadable third-party apps. The system will come at launch with TikTok, Angry Birds, Webex, and a web browser built in. The connectivity is provided by an onboard 5G modem which will, of course, require a subscription to enable the snazziest features.

By the looks of things, the passenger side screen is finally coming into its element with this addition of installable apps. No word on whether you’ll be able to see Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on the second screen or not (CarPlay supports multiple screens), but Mercedes will use a ‘switchable’ display to make sure the driver isn’t watching Dora The Explorer as you drive down the road. Another interesting feature is the selfie camera that, when parked, will allow the driver to participate in Webex or Zoom conferences. You can even record TikToks.
