The redesigned 2023 Kia Niro and refreshed 2023 Hyundai Palisade will both be making their debuts at the New York Auto Show next week. Today, Hyundai released two teaser images of the latter, showing off its sharper and more Tucson/Santa Cruz-aligned theming. We don’t have any shots of its interior, though recent spy shots suggest it will be receiving a light massage. The rear end is also not on display in these photos, though we do expect it to also get a new look based on previously released spy photography. More details here.

Mercedes-AMG introduces entry-level SL 43.

2023 Mercedes-AMG SL 43, exterior, blue

As previously speculated, Mercedes-AMG has released an entry-level SL variant called the SL 43. That number means you’ll find the familiar 375 horsepower 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder under he hood. It is paired with a 48V 13 horsepower belt-driven starter generator. This is not a 4MATIC-equipped vehicle, so all power is sent to the rear wheels via AMG’s 9-speed planetary-style automatic gearbox. 0-60 mph is expected to happen in just under five seconds with a top speed of 171 mph. The Lamborghini Aventador replaced the Murcielago back in 2012, but now its predecessor is upon us. As a final send-off, Lamborghini is launching the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae. It is a special edition to mark the last application of the brand’s non-electrified V12. Only 250 coupes and 250 roadster variants will be produced, with auction winners at the upcoming Sant’Agata Bolognese earning a special private first look at the brand’s next generation of models. An NFT of the car is also in the cards. More on this here.

Chevrolet Bolt and Bolt EUV back in production.

The Chevrolet Bolt and Bolt EUV have not rolled off an assembly line since November due to a massive recall that created a stop-sale. Like the ‘Wheelies’ shoes from the early 2000s, businesses began to ban the cars from their properties because their batteries were under a severe fire risk. The fault was later attributed to production defects on LG’s production side (LG produces the batteries for GM, but GM’s own Ultium batteries will power the next generation). The problems have apparently now been resolved, meaning the duo will be back on sale very soon. More on this development here.
