The high-performance EQS variant has earned its flagship status with a price to match. In the U.S., it has now been officially confirmed that the 2022 Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 will start at $147,500. A standard EQS 450+ starts at $102,310 and lacks the AMG’s sportier dynamics and exterior appearance. The AMG will come standard with a lot more kit than that model, with two trim levels available: Exclusive and Pinnacle. Hyperscreen is standard on both, as are all of Mercedes’ active safety features (not Drive Pilot Level 3 just yet, though), and the augmented reality head up display. More details here.
