The long-rumored manual transmission Toyota Supra is finally going to see the light of day. Mark your calendars for April 28th, it’s happening sooner than you think. Reports now say that instead of the base 4-cylinder model being the only one to get the stick, it will actually only be available on the 6-cylinder. Now, these reports are strictly for Japan at the moment, so there’s no telling if it is destined for North America. For more details on what the launch edition of the manual will look like in Japan, head to Carscoops.
Once again, the Mazda CX-60 has leaked on the internet. To reiterate, this model is not coming to the U.S. We will be receiving the CX-50, CX-70 and CX90. The CX-60, however, does give us a nice preview of some elements we should expect to see on those upcoming RWD-based crossovers. Today full exterior and interior pictures were leaked thanks to @cole_marzen on Twitter. Head over there for more!
The Acura Integra’s revival becomes available for pre-order on March 10th, but thanks to leaked dealer guides, we now know a little more about the production model. Based on what has been shared, the Integra will come standard with a CVT transmission. Only the top of the line A-Spec Tech trim will be available with the highly anticipated 6-speed manual, likely from the Civic Si. The CVT, though a pretty decent one in the Civic, is still greatly lamented by the automotive community. The Integra is certainly shaping up to be true to its roots – a fancier Civic. More on the leaked dealer guide here.
We are getting closer and closer to the reveal of the production Volkswagen ID.Buzz, or whatever they end up calling it. Today the brand released a few photos of its two-tone orange and white interior. There are plenty of easter eggs throughout the cabin, and we can obviously see this is the five seater version. In typical fashion, the U.S. won’t be receiving the car for a couple of years, and we are told to expect only the long wheelbase seven passenger version to make its way over. Either way, it is exciting to see the return of the classic Microbus on March 9th. For more of those pictures head over to Car and Driver.
Cadillac’s first all-electric model in the ‘-IQ’ sub-brand, the Lyriq, finally enters full production on March 21st, according to new reports. The model is a five seat crossover with pretty wacky styling but a stunning interior. It features the massive OLED screens found in the Escalade, and will be built in the newly-formatted Spring Hill, Tennessee plant. It rides on the same platform as the GMC Hummer Ev, anchored by GM’s Ultium battery tech. More on this development here.
