The WILL.I.AMG is real. A one-off sports car with a G-Class front end, the silhouette of an E-Class Coupe, and the rear end of an AMG GT, it is a wild collaboration with The Black Eyed Peas member, will.i.am. It will make its public debut at the inaugural Miami Grand Prix this weekend and is part of a project called “The Flip – Innovation for Purpose”. Its mission is to provide students in disadvantaged communities access to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math education. More on this here.
Up until now, Ferrari has been very coy about what will power its very first crossover, the Purosangue. Rumors have suggested plug-in hybrid V6s or V8s, but now we can all but confirm that it won’t be either of those. CEO Benedetto Vigna recently revealed that a V12 was determined to be the best fit for the Purosangue. The choice was made in an effort to preserve exclusivity and appeal to its target market. Power output and price have not been divulged just yet, but a full reveal is still expected for some time this Summer. More on this development here.
DeLorean is back with an electric sports car that will finally be fully revealed on May 31st. We have already shared the previous teasers, but today we have a new one that gives us a look at its rear end, full-width taillights, branding, louvers and all. DeLorean Motor Company does not have full funding needed to produce the car just yet, and we actually don’t even know what it will be called. The car and its name will be revealed at the Awards Ramp at the 2022 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. More on this here.
The reintroduction of the Acura Integra is finally in full swing, as the car has officially begun production at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio. It will serve as the global production source, so all markets will get their Integras from there. TLX, RDX, MDX, and NSX Type Sare built thee as well, but the 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder from the Civic is built at Honda’s Anna Engine Plant. The 2023 Integra will be on dealer lots in early June, but we will be driving it ourselves later this month, so stay tuned! More on this here.
