The Subaru Crosstrek has long been a consumer favorite and as a result, it’s one of the best selling subcompact crossovers on the market. There was always one problem with the Crosstrek though: the base 2.0-liter flat-four and its lack of power. For 2021, Subaru has addressed that in the Sport and Limited grades, both of which get the same 182-hp 2.5-liter unit found in the Forester, Legacy, and Outback. Best of all, you get the extra grunt without taking a hit in fuel economy.
