Volkswagen has finally decided to tackle the American CUV market with a new approach. The Touareg has been cancelled, the Tiguan has grown by leaps and bounds, there’s a big-new three row Atlas and soon we’ll have a third German crossover to fill out the bottom end. Thanks to a massive increase in size, the new Tiguan now offers a standard third row seat for those looking for a bit more practicality in their crossover than Honda or Toyota offer. That manages to take it out of direct competition to the RAV4 or CR-V in a way and pit the new VW against Nissan’s compact three-row Rogue.
