The Acura TLX has long been a middle-of-the-road option living somewhere between the Lexus ES and BMW 3-Series in driving dynamics and between the Audi A3 and A4 in terms of price. For 2018 Acura decided sharpen the TLX’s value proposition with more aggressive styling, more standard feature content like Apple CarPlay and then they made most of their active safety tech standard in all trims. The TLX still lives on the fence between the Kia Cadenza and Lexus ES on one side and the BMW 3-Series and Jaguar XE on the other, but it’s a better value than ever before.
