Don’t get me wrong, the Touareg was a great vehicle, it’s just that America wasn’t really interested in an expensive off-road focused luxury SUV with an Audi price tag and a VW logo. The answer to that comes as a one-two punch for North America: the Atlas and the Atlas Cross Sport, VW’s big, boxy, value focused crossovers. It’s just what America ordered.
