2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid Review

Nissan’s Rogue gains an all-new hybrid model for 2017. Unlike Toyota’s RAV4 Hybrid, the Rogue Hybrid uses a mechanical AWD system for superior traction in inclement weather or mild off-roading. The two-clutch hybrid system boosts fuel economy to 34 MPG combined for the two wheel drive model and 33 MPG for the all wheel drive model. Nissan also tosses in an electric A/C compressor to allow for more aggressive EV mode usage. Whether the Nissan will live up to your fuel economy expectations depends on your driving situation. While the hybrid system improved both city and highway mileage, city driving and stop and go driving will have a bigger impact on the Rogue’s average than the RAV4.
