Following the regular SUV version, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has been revealed showing off a relatively tame redesign. New reports suggest that the SUV coupe phase at Mercedes may not continue on after this generation, which explains why they played it safe. Nevertheless, there’s a lot to talk about here. Like the SUV, the Coupe is slightly larger and more slippery than last year’s model (0.27 coefficient of drag) and shares the same front fascia from the AMG Line-equipped models. That’s because the GLC Coupe will only come with the AMG Line appearance, which also brings with it a panoramic sunroof, heated seats front and rear, a Burmeister 3D surround sound audio system, wireless phone charging, and the newest iteration of MBUX.
At launch, the GLC Coupe will only come in 300 4MATIC guise, meaning it will be powered by an updated 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder 48V mild-hybrid that produces 255 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. Expect at least one real AMG version to come along later, though whether thats a 43 or 63 remains to be seen. In terms of cargo capacity, the Coupe gains a bit of space for 2024, now able to fit 19.2 cubic-feet of stuff behind the second row (1.6 ft^3 more than the last year) and 52.6 cubic-feet of space with the second row down. For perspective, the new Subaru Crosstrek as closer to 55 cubic-feet of space. Look for these to start hitting dealerships later in 2023.
