If the Ridgeline is all the truck 95% of shoppers need, Ford’s Raptor is without a doubt the truck 95% of shoppers *want*. For 2017 Ford pulled out all the stops to make the Raptor the most capable factory-made 1/2 ton off-road truck. Period. More than just an off-road package (like Ford’s own FX4 package, Toyota’s TRD PRO, Chevy’s Z71 or even the upcoming RAM Rebel) the Raptor gets serious structural modification in addition to a new off-road suspension, a wider body and more power under the hood.
This truck isn’t for everyone, but it sure is a hoot.
