Honda's decision to cut new EV development also stalled its partnership with Sony.
Lexus has always marched to a different drummer with the ES sedan. With the Lexus IS and GS designed to compete with the BMW 3-series and 5-series directly, the ES has been left to chart a course more similar to a classic American luxury sedan.
