Volkswagen may call this Passat all-new but look deeper and you’ll find that it’s far from that. Under the skin is the same architecture that’s underpinned the car since 2012 and the interior only received a slight refresh. At least the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder got more torque, right? Right?! Think of this Passat as a refresh instead given most of the changes are only skin deep.
