Next-Generation Volkswagen Tiguan Spied for the First Time: Looking like a baby Bentley Bentayga in the side profile, the 2024 or 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan has been caught by spy photographers in Germany wearing its production-intent design for the first time. Previous reports claimed the Tiguan would be shedding its more upright and plain shape for a more relaxed and sporty profile, perhaps in the same vein as a crossover “coupe”. Clearly, this Tiguan is not exactly coupe-like, but it is certainly more curvaceous and interesting than the current design. From the side and rear 3/4 view, you can even see some inspiration from the Bentley Bentayga, its well-to-do older cousin.
What else do we know about the next Tiguan at this point? It is not expected to be split into two different wheelbases for varying markets like the current generation, but that’s not completely off the table. You should also expect to see the return of turbocharged 4-cylinder engines as well as plug-in hybrid options. It will also receive an interior reminiscent of the latest Golf lineup, with haptic feedback touch controls and sliders. Hopefully Volkswagen allows them to illuminate at night…
