The 2023 Subaru Solterra Is Much Better Than You Think

Let’s be honest, with just over 220 miles of range and 218 hp, the 2023 Subarus Solterra doesn’t look great on a spec sheet. In the real world, however, 0-60 mph happens in 6.2 seconds, it gets more like 222-228 miles of range, and its actual ground clearance create a fantastic combination. DC charging is on the slow side (100 kW), but the payback is likely increased battery longevity. Ultimately, I think there will be plenty of EV buyers well-suited for Subaru’s first-ever EV.
