The PHEV Charging Studies Don’t Apply To America
A bunch of people have sent me links to reporting around a “bombshell” study from Europe. Apparently PHEVs in the wild consume more gas than the WLTP rankings say they…

If you’re looking for an AWD EV that still has a federal tax credit and won’t break the bank, VW has the answer for many of you with the new dual-motor ID.4. If you get the full credit, VW’s compact CUV will set you back around $18,000 less than a dual motor Model Y and a few grand less than Ford’s Mustang Mach-E. There’s also 3 years of unlimited DC fast charging on the Electrify America network to sweeten the deal. Is the ID.4 perfect? No. But it is one of the best EVs in America right now, and it’ll cost less than the “average” new car in America.
