2017 Cadillac XT5 Review

Why did Cadillac decide to make a mid-sized FWD crossover like the Lexus RX instead of a RWD BMW X3 fighter? Because Lexus sells twice as many RX 350s as BMW sells X3s. While the XT5 is not as much fun to drive as the X3 or the new Q5, the Cadillac delivers more passenger room, more cargo room and a standard V6 engine for the same kind of cash. No wonder Cadillac’s latest crossover has outsold the German competition over the last 6 months.

The real question of course is: does the new Caddy have what it takes to beat Lexus at their own game, or the stiff competition from Lincoln?
