2018 / 2019 Buick Regal GS Sportback Review

Is the new Regal GS Sportback a “Buick Stinger?” In short: no. The long answer is that in many ways it really doesn’t matter since the Stinger and Regal GS aren’t natural competitors anyway. Although both vehicles are lift-backs rather than sedans, that’s where the similarities end. The Regal is considerably less expensive and bigger on the inside. The Regal is more easily justified as an upgrade from a Camry or an Accord, giving you more power, more room and an enormous cargo area. The Kia Stinger on the other hand is a rear wheel drive liftback that offers superior acceleration, superior handling and arguably a hair more interior refinement… at a price. The Stinger’s improved dynamics will cost you between $7,000 and $10,000 more. Is it worth it? Let me know.
