2019 Ford F-150 Diesel Review

Soon there will be three 1/2 ton trucks in America with a diesel engine but for the moment there is just one and it’s not the RAM. With FCA’s EcoDiesel on hiatus and GM’s inline-6 diesel yet top be released, if you want a diesel half ton, you want the 2019 Ford F-150. As with the RAM diesel, the Ford diesel started its life in Europe under the hoods of Ford’s former luxury brands from Europe where it’s helped power Land Rovers up mountains and across fields. Ford took the basic engine design, reworked it for truck duty and mated it to their latest 10-speed automatic for improved towing and hauling ability. Does that make the F-150 diesel the best powertrain option? Let’s find out.
